Job Description

  • Gather information related to the service request and respond in a professional and timely manner.
  • Follows up daily regarding repair progress with customer.
  • Works directly with Service Supervisors on a daily basis and assist with payments, customer credit issues, data collection and other service processes.
  • Assists with delivering customer expectations.
  • Responsible for work order opening, updates, work in process (WIP) review, and invoicing in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain accurate customer information in DBS/MDS and other data collection systems.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of work orders.
  • Obtain repair approvals, purchase orders, and process COD payments.
  • Prepare other documentation related to day-to-day service operations.
  • Provide back-up for other department positions.

Required Skills

  • Understands the culture of safety and participates in weekly safety meetings.
  • Clear understanding of exceptional customer service.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Must have excellent computer skills.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of products; Outlook, Excel, Word.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Must have excellent phone skills.
  • Excellent time management and problem solving skills are a must.

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Understanding of Caterpillar warranty guidelines.
  • Willingness to offer ideas to improve processes within the department.
