JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

Sell new and used Caterpillar construction equipment and related products & services.

Manage time & territory (effective call planning & execution, efficient process to find & secure business, satisfy account coverage objectives). Advise/Consult customers (demonstrate product, application, and general business knowledge – build:  confidence, trust, and respect). Negotiate business transactions that meet both the company’s and customer’s needs. Use Sales Link efficiently & effectively (activities, opportunities, leads, DTR’s, & account maintenance). Provide quality & timely transaction documents (worksheets, quotes, contracts, finance papers, warranty, delivery record, account credits.

Generate productive interactions (demonstrate a willingness and ability to observe and adapt to others’ behavioral/work style). Maintain effective and constructive relationships with factory representatives to generate mutually beneficial results – demonstrate a partnership mindset. Utilize professional sales skills to secure appropriate transaction premiums.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

 Five plus year’s construction equipment industry experience (preference for field sales/rental experience).  Excellent computer skills. Bachelor's Degree (or related CAT experience) preferred.  Residence in-territory (Adams, Fairfield, Fayette, Hocking, Pickaway, Pike, Ross, Scioto Counties). Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard, and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
