Service Supervisor Trainee – Power Systems

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Primary Job Role
Conducts all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental and contamination control policies, procedures and regulations. Wears and enforces wearing proper personal protective equipment and ensures the fulfillment of all safety initiatives.

 

Develops an in-depth familiarization with RP business purpose, path, process, mission and values.

 

Follows a structured career path development process with a focus on skill development as defined in the Service Supervisor Training Curriculum and assigned by the Territory Service Manager.

 

Receives on the job training to be able to independently perform all aspects of job roles of Shop Service Advisors, Leadperson, Foreman and Field/Preventative Maintenance Dispatchers.

 

Travels to assigned branch stores as required to provide seamless coverage and transition of duties while maintaining the highest level of professionalism, accuracy and sense of urgency.

 

Ensures logs are maintained and customers are kept up-to-date on the status of his/her work, including pre-existing and new work.

 

Works directly with Service Manager and Territory manager on daily activities and schedules.

 

Develops branch-to-branch relationships and support for surrounding stores.

 

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience
Formal Education High School diploma or GED

 

Experience 1-2 years

 

Required / Credentials

Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.

 

Basic PC skills required.

 

Must be very flexible with their daily schedule; accepting interruptions and repeated schedule changes.

 

Must be willing to travel up to 70% of the time.

 

Must be willing to relocate to any Ring Power facility.

 

Must be capable of organizing work matched to skill level (experience) of personnel, locations of equipment, and needs of the customer.

Knowledge of the industry and products for the division.

 

Not Required but Highly Desired Criteria
Successfully completed relevant leadership courses.

 

Proficient in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products and relevant Dealer software programs. (i.e. DBS, Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.)

 

Updating of Knowledge
