Position Status: Part Time with Benefits (30 hrs week) 

Job Summary:

Drive vehicle from individual or central loading area to job site or other destination according to assigned 7 days on 7 days doff driving schedule.

Essential Functions:

  1. Assist passengers to be transported.
  2. Must live in Safford and/or Thatcher area.
  3. Attend safety meetings as requested.
  4. Ensures that all safety requirements are adhered to for each passenger.
  5. Complies with all ICC, DOT, State and local traffic and highway laws, rules and regulations.   Safely operates all equipment in compliance with all legal weight and load size limits.
  6. Ensures manifests are accurate and error free.   All items transported are on the manifest.
  7. Work safely at all times.  Adhere to all applicable safety policies.  Comply with all company policies, procedures and standards.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain company equipment by checking fuel, oil, water, tires etc on truck and equipment before starting.  All equipment is kept clean and maintained.  Report vehicle operation trouble to supervisor.
  2. Keep driver license current.  Notify supervisor of any driver license problems within one day.
  3. Ensure all required paperwork is properly completed within applicable time deadlines.
  4. Work within and promote corporate values.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  1. Appropriate manner, conduct, and grooming adhere to company policy.
  2. Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively.
  3. Ability to maintain consistent attendance.

Education and Experience:

  1. Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  2. Clean, current driving and safety record for the past 12 months.
  3. Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
  4. CDL preferred or ability to obtain a CDL within 90 days of hire.
