Supports the dealership’s strategic goals by applying analysis and data visualization techniques to improve decision making.  Will work with stakeholders within and outside the company to identify business needs, optimize processes and data sources, and transform them into successful analytic and reporting solutions. The Sr. BI Analyst will be integral to the continued evolution of our business intelligence initiatives. This position will serve as Cashman’s primary technical analytic resource, supporting analytic efforts throughout the company.

  • Lead collaboration with our business units to leverage existing data, deliver data visualizations, and create analytical reports.
  • Effectively communicate data methodology and present results to our diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Offer critical insights and pinpoint areas of opportunity by providing stakeholders with performance results, trends, and projections.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and mentor across company divisions to help users translate numbers into actionable business strategy.
  • Provide data that is accurate, consistent, and reliable and ensure the information is easily available to users for direct consumption or integration with other systems.
  • Take a leading role in our efforts to improve data quality and establish standard data definitions and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with platforms, data discrepancies, etc.
  • Assist BI Manager in defining data strategy and managing analytic priorities.
  • Keep manager and stakeholders informed about projects and data analysis activities on a regular basis.
  • Lead efforts to support internal analytics teams through knowledge sharing, skill development, and providing technical assistance when needed.
  • Ensure that the data needs of users and teams in our other offices receive appropriate attention and support. Travel (up to 10%) may be required in support of this goal.

  • Exceptional data analysis, dashboard creation, and visualization skills.
  • Experience leading requirements definition efforts and translating into analytic solutions.
  • Ability to develop an in-depth understanding of the business environment and an interest in going beyond the obvious.
  • Willingness to question the accuracy of data and assumptions.
  • Hands-on experience in handling large data sets.
  • Proven skills in producing easy-to-understand reports summarizing data analysis findings.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Comfortable interacting with people across all levels of the organization.
  • Team player who proactively looks for ways to support other teams in their use and understanding of our data and tools.
  • Experience teaching and mentoring less experienced analysts.
  • Ability to set and manage priorities and expectations for both individual and team responsibilities and tasks.
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented; work with minimal supervision.
  • Eagerness to learn and a passion for data.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science or other quantitative field. An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a quantitative or analytical role.
  • Expert experience with BI tools is required, with Tableau strongly preferred.
  • Strong experience with SQL and advanced Excel skills are required.
  • Experience with scripting, automation, and ETL tools/processes (e.g. Tableau Prep, VBA, Power Query) is desired.
