Tech Equipment Coordinator

SITECH Northland / Ziegler CAT is seeking a highly motivated individual for a full-time opening as Construction Technology Sales Support / Tech Equipment Coordinator. This position will work closely with the Sales team to manage our technology equipment preparation processes and procedures to ensure a positive customer experience. This position with have primary responsibility for handling and preparing all technology equipment as it is readied for our customers. This position will also have responsibility for assisting customers as they enter our facilities to pick up technology equipment.


  • Support Ziegler’s Sales team through effective communication, process management, and organization to ensure technology equipment is prepared correctly for installation or customer delivery

  • Work with Ziegler’s Sales team to understand customer needs and requirements for equipment preparation

  • Communicate status of equipment during preparation process to Sales team and other internal stakeholders

  • Greet and assist customers in a professional manner while they are in our facilities to pick-up equipment

  • Assist customers and Sales team with parts sales

  • Track and record equipment information in vendor software platforms and internal databases

  • Track incoming shipments to determine arrival times and estimated completion dates

  • Read and interpret parts lists to ensure kits are received and delivered complete from our warehouse

  • Update and provision technology equipment with necessary software and unlocks for operation in the field or installation, typically working with Windows and Android operating systems

  • Assist with processing technology part returns and trade-in equipment

  • Learn and understand Trimble and Cat Technology softwares for construction surveying and machine control applications

  • Assist warehouse personnel with parts and kit building as they receive inventory from technology vendors

  • Provide support for other Sales team and Technical team projects and initiatives


  • High school diploma or GED required; 2 year associated degree or higher preferred

  • Exceptional communication skills – ability to effectively relay detailed information both verbally and via email

  • Organization skills

  • Close attention to detail

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment

  • Willingness and ability to learn technology systems on-the-job (Trimble Heavy Civil and Cat Construction Technologies)

  • Microsoft Office suite experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows and Android OS

  • Technical understanding of computer networks, systems and software preferred


  • Up to 10% travel possible (primarily by automobile) for day trips within the dealer territory
