Territory Manager – Electrical Services

Ziegler Power Systems is seeking an experienced Territory Manager – Electrical Services to promote and sell electrical services to Ziegler Power Systems customers. As a Territory Manager you will be responsible for leading and growing our electrical service business sales within a defined territory. Ziegler Power Systems aims to be a one stop shop for customers by providing them with all of their sales, rental and service needs. The Territory Manager reports to the Product Support Sales Manager.


  • Apply industry knowledge to offer technical / practical options to both internal and external customers; Provide consultation to customers regarding electrical solution needs
  • Cultivate and maintain customer relationships with municipal utilities, healthcare, medical, state and local governmental agencies and electrical contractors
  • Develop electrical service sales opportunities and win them. Some of which include preventative maintenance and repair services on the following low and medium-voltage distribution equipment:
    • Switchgear
    • Circuit Breaker
    • Protective Relay
    • Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS)
    • Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS)
    • Infrared Thermography
    • Stationary Battery
    • Transformer
  • Prepare detailed TM maintenance and repair quotes following Ziegler practices, when appropriate develop multi-year Customer Value Agreements (CVA) to present and sell to customers
  • Regularly visit and communicate with current, future and past customers in order to maintain strong customer relations
  • Use CRM to track all customer activity including phone calls and in-person visits.  In addition, use CRM to track sales quotes including leads and sales opportunities
  • Create PowerPoint presentations and marketing materials - for use during sales calls
  • Maintain good customer relations; intervene to help solve problems and disputes; and always look for ways to enhance customer relationships
  • Promote and sell additional parts and labor to further accommodate customer needs
  • Research new products and developments relevant to power systems customers, especially as they relate to maintenance and testing of electrical distribution equipment
  • Participate in customer events.  Join customer industry/trade organizations and associations


  • 2-year Technical, or Business Associate Degree is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering is desired
  • 3+ years of sales experience in a similar industry or customer facing technical sales role
  • Experience working with any of the following is desired: Electrical distribution equipment – low or medium voltage and/or electrical motor maintenance & repair
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Results-oriented and self-starter
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Good driving record
