JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Lead and coordinate technical support services for power generation, industrial, rail and marine products, serving as a key resource for customers, technicians, and sales teams.
  • Provide expert troubleshooting, diagnostics, and technical guidance to resolve complex equipment, electrical, and controls-related issues.
  • Develop, mentor, and train technical staff, including onboarding, ongoing technical education, and support for electrical and controls systems.
  • Partner with sales and customers to support business growth, evaluate emerging technologies, and recommend solutions that align with Caterpillar and customer requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards by conducting LOTO, Arc Flash, and technician safety audits, while managing safety documentation, PPE, and certifications.
  • Investigate equipment failures, prepare technical and failure analysis reports, support warranty claim resolution, and collaborate with Caterpillar to address product issues and critical customer concerns.


RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school Diploma or GED, required 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferred 
  • Minimum 5 years of technical experience and/or equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. 
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers to achieve business objectives. 
  • Take initiative to solve problems, drive continuous improvement, adapt to changing priorities, and effectively manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and travel as needed to customer sites, meetings, and events while delivering exceptional service and building strong relationships with internal and external customers.
