Position Summary
We are seeking an energetic Inside Sales & Equipment Rental Representative to support equipment rental and sales at our branch. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and has an interest in the construction and heavy equipment industry. You will support walk‑in, phone, and online customers while helping drive branch sales and rental goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with equipment rentals and sales by identifying needs and recommending solutions
- Process daily rental transactions including reservations, contracts, invoicing, and payment collection
- Answer incoming calls, texts, chats, online leads, and assist walk‑in customers
- Upsell equipment and services when appropriate and follow up on unsigned contracts
- Open new customer accounts and assist with lead development
- Maintain a clean, professional showroom and work environment
- Coordinate with dispatch to ensure equipment deliveries are completed on time
- Support outside sales, operations, and other branch departments
- Work toward meeting and exceeding branch and company sales and rental goals
- Maintain a strong focus on safety and exceptional customer service
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or college coursework a plus)
- 2+ years of experience in construction, heavy equipment, or a related industry preferred
- Mechanical or technical aptitude with the ability to learn equipment applications
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and customer service skills
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and web‑based computer systems
- Familiarity with the local service area is a plus
- Ability to work occasional overtime or weekends as needed
